Completely agree with getting there eventually. Also, the analogy simplifies it and makes it very clear, thank you for taking the time to explain. 

Is Gnosis working on its own payment network or will Gnosis be working on it down the line?

we will get there. My analogy is Skype/VoIP. Back in the days it was a big deal that you could dial from Skype into landline. This is basically now "calling into Visa". Eventually of course both sides used VOIP/ will be onchain.
