Posting this again - I think it's important that we retain "solo staker" as the definition of a node operator who validates without anything between them and the Beacon Chain contract. It is the most "solo" way of staking In contrast, "independent operators" can look like a lot of different things (DVT stakers, Lido CSM validators, Rocket Pool minipool operators, solo stakers using data centers). This is a big pool of tapped and untapped node operators and they're essential for decentralization "Independent operators" isn't as catchy but I think it's good to have strict definitions to work from, otherwise we end up getting lost in 'decentralization word salads' where everybody means something different

The whole confusion would go away if we just agreed to call solo stakers demigods instead

I find it useful to refer to this category of ‘independent operators’ as ‘home stakers’ in general (solo/minipool/DVT) as most individuals can relate to it
