Could a supermajority client bug be bullish for Ethereum? - Majority ETH supply slashed/burned - Reduced ETH supply + remaining stakers can’t panic dump + buying pressure from compensated victims = numbers go up! - Remaining stakers get greater rewards - Supermajority centralization risk gone! @antiprosynthesis.eth @sassal.eth

- lol but no - destroying this much capital would seriously harm Ethereum's reputation and any remaining ETH would lose a huge amount of value - remaining stakers could absolutely panic dump - in fact, if they panic exited, they could halt the chain completely - true - probably not, we'd just rebuild from there

Not at all saying you're wrong but how would the remaining stakers halt the chain by panic exiting? Don't they just fill up the exit queue and get deactivated when they get to the front so anyone left (even if it's just down to me and you) keeps extending the chain as usual?
