do you guys all have hardware (watches?) to measure or can you just use your phone? any local storage hardware / software in use? second question, how far is 10k steps for you?

oh I just realized that the local storage location tracking app i recently downloaded, arc, is counting my steps. awesome, I'm ready to join this club

I use a watch. I targeted 12k steps for 15 months and it's a bit over 5.1 miles for me.

I use a Garmin watch that I primarily for scuba diving :) you can def also just use your phone, most have a podometer 10k steps for me is equivalent to doing my daily living (4-6k steps) + taking a walk during the day for ~45mins-1hr

I use a Fitbit Inspire 3, but only while traveling. I've found phone tracking is quite inaccurate, and even the Fitbit is a bit off - but good enough for casual use Second question too personal 🙃
