I was playing my regular Thursday night soccer and the ball came right to me to kick into the goal and I honestly gave it my all to kick it in... ...only to wake myself up in my hotel bed and discover the wall with my foot so hard that I think I just broke two of my toes in the stupidest way possible

btw, I told the Argentinians in the hotel restaurant today about this and they nodded and said "yes, that happens" and were entirely unsurprised even if entertained. Apparently this is a phenomenon in countries obsessed with soccer (broken toes not included)

That sucks. Your brain has one job and that's to inhibit your motor neurons when you're asleep and dreaming. I hope your toes are not broken, apply liberal amounts of ice

I can't imagine the stories that doctors must hear about how people injure themselves. Did you at least score the goal in your dream?

the most shocking part of this is the use of the word "soccer" 😁
