Temporarily unlocking the channel for everyone to be able to post because the process for joining channels still seems kind of unclear / difficult and it would be nice for new stakers to be able to post. 

There wasn't a lot of bot spam before, anyway. Preferences?

Thanks, but I don't see that option! All I can find is "who can cast" - members only or everyone

Try turning on Public Mode. That will allow anyone to post but still have spam filtering.
