▶️ Are all clients ready to cut Pectra releases? If yes, testnet fork dates can be ✨officially✨ chosen. The mainnet date still won't be FINAL™️ until the fork on Sepolia is successful with no issues. It'll be ~30 days after that.

what does it take to get into PFI? i’m specifically wondering about FOCIL, i did see a github PR here: https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/9292

would it need to be merged, advocated for in a call, or something else?

Great question!! Basically, it needs to be a fully fleshed-out EIP with an Ethereum Magicians discussion post and then someone needs to be the champion for it. It's quite easy to PFI an EIP, but harder to get it moved to CFI ("considered for inclusion")

You open the PR to the "Fork Meta EIP" to PFI your EIP, ask for it to be added as an agenda item for ACD and then do a smol presentation to the devs on why it's important to include and what the state of the EIP is. Then the champion of the EIP should continue to make sure it's being accounted for / tested / talked about in any relevant breakout calls. For example, FOCIL has its own breakout moderated by its champions
