Feels like that’s a question he should be trying to answer himself. I think there are 2 parts to the answer (1) bitclout pretty much alienated CT, and (2) the overt monetization was an interesting experiment but a complete failure.

Hey Nigel, long time! Love that you chimed in on the Twitter thread. It’s a tough pill for them to swallow, but the truth is nobody in web3 wants to touch that ecosystem with a 10 foot pole. Seems that most of the “benefits” are DeSo specific copies of what exists elsewhere
