Thinking of diving into The Sovereign Individual. It’s been sitting on my list for a while. Curious to hear from anyone who’s actually read it—how well does it hold up? Visionary or just libertarian sci-fi in disguise? Worth the time?

I‘m reading it at the moment. The wild thing is, it was written 26 years ago and it’s almost prophetic. All the things they describe hypothetically are happening (esp. the technology, with bitcoin and crypto). I would disagree with some of his societal assumptions… but overall it really interesting.

This book is goated. Unbelievable in its clarity predicting the future ahead of its time

Great book. Yes, it predicts a LOT of what we see today. It was definitely a little optimistic about the level of freedom we would have on the internet, but hopefully we can fix that. It is indeed unashamedly libertarian, but that’s the direction the world is trending towards long-term with these decentralized capabilities we are building.
