Does anyone actually use branching? If so, what workflows do you include it in?

Yes a lot actually. Mostly for design system updates that are integrated into the dev’s workflow. Since an update could be for a specific country/region or has a larger impact on the design system as a whole. Also different brands could use the same system but with variations => branching.

yes I do. always based on jira ticket number, which helps to follow what was built and when it‘d reviewed with the devs, we merge to main. in addition I also use it for playground stuff or short & fast explorations. so I don‘t do essentially changes in the main by accident.
