9/10 times I show my wife a song she goes, “oh yeah that went viral on TikTok 3 months ago.” Setting aside my being an old loser… What happens to music distribution when TikTok goes away?

ig reels are kinda like 2nd order to tiktok videos from my understanding. "the best tt vids get posted to ig 2 weeks later," seems to be consensus. the beauty of the tiktok distro is that you get a ton of knock-on ugc and even kinda shitty tracks become an earworm. they seem way more lax about licensing than ig as well.
