something i’ve observed anecdotally and loosely validated qualitatively is that someone’s reply:quotecast ratio when contributing to a conversation correlates to their ego (how they see themselves vs the rest of the community). not always a bad thing, but i’ll leave it at that.

study people who reply > quotecast

reply is for when you want to participate in the convo, qc is for when you want to start a new one (imho)
