Motivates me to spend more time here (would invest $ if I could)

Still grappling with how to split time/attention between here and X. I want to spend more time here but get more engagement there. What do?

Def stoked about the farcaster integration. Like that it’s taking advantage of your open social graph. Also like that it outsources something (social) to a team that’s hyper focused on that

Abstractly: curiosity and progress

Tactically: re-wiring the global operating system onchain to create a more free and less intermediated world

In terms of using Warpcast: onchain social is one of the highest impact verticals with the least amount of blockers in its way to mass adoption (vs something like tokenized securities). I’d like to spend an outsized amount of my time on it. It’s also entertaining. Warpcast has the highest likelihood of success and I only have bandwidth to lean in on so many things. Investing my time into Warpcast and helping to make it better is a positive sum time investment. If successful in return I’ll have earned a more meaningful platform and network.

AMA: what motivates you?

Early stage, single most important thing is probably “does this founder/leadership have the fortitude to not give up when things get hard, and the perseverance to continue building for 4+ years?”

Harder part is answering that question, which is where founder track record is helpful. Wouldn’t invest pre-product in a first time founder (not enough evidence to suggest they can build something of value)

Valuation matters and needs to be contextualized relative to the TAM being perused (eg is it niche or could it change the world)

Anything on less than a 4yr horizon is a trade and I won’t give trading advice, other than to not do it with a meaningful share of your net worth

If you’re getting into seed/venture — write small checks because most will go to zero and you want to be able to take a number of shots on goal (the venture model)

In regards to “investing money if you could”

What criteria helps you decide what a worthy angel investment / seed round could be?
