I feel like people keep going quantum so they can somehow believe in free will, but does randomness really provide it?!

i think, at least in the context of orch-OR, it differs from probabilistic randomness or algorithmic determinism in the sense that the underlying fabric of spacetime influences consciousness in other words, where we exist in spacetime dictates or influences the collapse of the wave function and concurrently there’s some planck scale fuckery on the part of gravity im not sold on anything necessarily but i find it an interesting rabbit hole to explore

I think it’s like motion. Is the train moving or the station? Depends whether you are on the train or in the station. Neither is wrong. From my perspective i have it, from the universe’s, not so much.
