just had a strange aha moment. Most discovery feeds are a anchored on โ€œrecencyโ€, which is a shame because so much good historical content exists. Is YouTube the only social that has discovery supporting non-recent content?

agreed! most apps which tackle discovery would do well to support multiple modes, recency being one, relational another. i imagine the tricky part is discerning between information which is evergreen and time specific
