Base

Devs building onchain consumer apps have not had an obvious place to build in the past. No chain has had scalability, a critical mass of quality developers & users & sufficient momentum.

@base now has all four. If I had to bet on where the first onchain app with 100M+ users is built, it’d be Base.

Base is achieving something the other L2s and alt-L1s haven’t yet figured out - cultivating a good vibe & attracting people to WANT to build (and not grift). 

It’s not hackathons or narrative chasing - just seems like focus.

Also no token. 

I’ve observed on most chains that devs own the token and that is their primary reason for building on the chain. It’s short-term financial motivation rather than long term desire to impact hundreds of millions of people

Liquidity (too early) was always the original sin.
