Have you ever used a 3rd party Twitter client?

I’m very skeptical when asked to auth twitter and only give serious permissions to lindy 3rd party apps like tweetbot and tweetdeck. Did not use buffer bc didn’t trust.

I don’t doubt it, just expressing my feeling on this microblogging protocol 🫡

I think the concern here is the risk of using substandard or malicious third-party apps/extensions.

Ideally, there should be a standards policy + committee to review various third-party apps and tag them with safe-to-use certs of some sort.

This way users can know when they giving access to a reviewed app or not.
