it will appear on the channel page but people don't really visit those

what is the point of posting in a channel if it gets you zero extra distribution outside of your followers? 

except for on channel pages which no one checks.

It's about building a cozy corner.

Every time we do a home feed A/B test, channel content recommendations perform worse than the control.

wouldn’t it make sense to show people who follow /follow-friday or /ethereum or /social posts in those channels by people they don’t follow? like reddit

In the past casting in channels were encouraged to increase the reach. I wonder when did it change?

if people who follow a channel only see posts from people who they already follow in their main feed, then channels are a lot less interesting

If your mental mode of Farcaster is Twitter, and you’re a user just looking for a distribution boost, there’s little reason to use channels

But other experiences can and will be built on top of channels outside of Warpcast.

Also buoy lets me search by channel so it’s immensely useful
