it will appear on the channel page but people don't really visit those

what is the point of posting in a channel if it gets you zero extra distribution outside of your followers? 

except for on channel pages which no one checks.

Every time we do a home feed A/B test, channel content recommendations perform worse than the control.

this is surprising because Facebook feed is heavily biased toward recommendations from public groups now

this revelation makes me think I should stop posting my memes in /memes and just post on main!

Hashtags imply distribution. 

Think of it like a public group chat, e.g. /six

so we’re back to channels being hashtags, just membership gated now?
