went camping with a bunch of dads this summer and decided i want kids 30 years of being staunchly opposed, and it more or less vanished after one weekend in the woods with a bunch of guys that were only there to escape the obligations they'd created for themselves and i... decided i want that been processing it for weeks now, but i haven't talked myself out of it yet anyone else have a change of heart about kids later in life?

I always knew I'd be a dad at some point and was thrust into parenting a three-year-old because of my gf at the time. I didn't really feel an emotional/mental shift until my son was born seven years later though. Holding a newborn is totally different...life shifts into another perspective. A lot of the bullshit of life just didn't matter. At all. My son's eight now, which is weird to think about. Our teenager will be graduating in three years which is nuts. Despite the challenges, I wouldn't give up being a parent for anything.
