i think, this is going to be hard in practice. suppose I screenshoted someone’s deleted cast on WC. the screenshot wouldn’t have enough info for me to reconstruct the hash

Deleted casts will still be stored by the hubs even after deletion to ensure that the initial cast cannot be rebroadcasted if I remember the specification correctly. Even if the spec is to delete the cast, a hub can certainly choose to store it anyways.

oh oh you might be right here, as per my recollection the cast content is deleted but the hash is stored. certainly a hub can choose to store all casts forever
