Tokens and NFTs are the least interesting components of web3 gaming, imho. The best part about a traditional game isn't the items. It's the characters, the narrative, the immersion, and obviously the game loop itself.

Totally agree. This is also why I don’t agree with selling NFTs for a game that doesn’t exist yet. It immediately creates a divide between the community you have and the community you want.

Exactly. My approach has always been to look at NFTs as the app data. No one wants to buy data until they know what they can do with it. - App first - Show, don't tell - Incentivize the user to buy more data

I think having the intro level be something they play then choose to mint their own X at the end or just use one from the bucket... and let them see the value to why having their own makes sense... etc.
