318th day of the year according to the Gregorian calendar. There are 48 days to the end of the year.
1. The day of creation of modern sausages is November 13, 1805. It was on this day that Johann Laner, a butcher who moved from Frankfurt to Vienna, first made sausages from a mixture of pork and beef mince, which he called “frankfurters”. The new product delighted representatives of the most diverse strata of society. Meanwhile, the question of who exactly invented sausages is an old dispute between the cities of Frankfurt and Vienna.
In Frankfurt, sausages had been made since the Middle Ages, but Vienna's sausages were the first to use a mixture of beef and pork/It was here that Laner managed to get a loan of 300 guilders from an Austrian baroness and used the money to open a small butcher shop.
