No one: Me on Tuesday morning: time to watch this yt video about how Stoicism became a billion dollar scam. It appears all of these dudes making a lot of money of it (ok Ryan Holiday aside) seem to never have read the primary literature. Or any literature to begin with ^^ https://youtu.be/h8REOHfdVZQ?si=HL2tqbV4xFvzwiS2

TBH one of the reasons I've gone back to finish my philosophy degree is so I can get some credentials to back up some content I want to create to counter the Broicists. Cuz they piss me off SO BAD.

Oooh philosophy is the thing I'd study if I had time for a degree now. Been doing a bunch of coursera philosophy courses, and watched lots of professor sugrue talks in addition to reading a bunch of primary/ secondary literature. Atm I'm interested in Kierkegaard, and more broadly existentialism. But I also enjoy Emmerson's essays. Any recommendations welcome, and I'll be here to back you up when fighting the broicists.

I've got Neuroethics and Social & Political Philosophy this semester. The Neuroethics is far more interesting than the political philosophy which is more a historical survey of philosophers I've already read in half a dozen other classes šŸ¤£ I wanted to improve my thinking and writing for content creation, already was halfway towards the degree when I dropped out 20 years ago, and transferred all those old credits with ease! I'd spent the last decade rearranging my life so I could spend all my time studying on my own, and then got the chance to go back, so I dove in!
