Reading Naomi Klein's Doppelganger and Kyle Chayak's Filterworld in quick succession provides a pretty holistic overview of all the impact algorithmically filtered experiences online can have. Filterworld: commodifying, and flattening culture Doppelganger: hollow out humans by turning them into (static) brands, fostering divide Add to that some Byung-Chul Han, Society of the Spectacle by Debord and a little of Baudrillard's concept of Hyperreality and you get a good grasp of why life with Big Tech feels as it does. Any other books you'd recommend falling into that theme?
