Predictions for “the next cycle”?

Lots of unexpected things happened this past cycle, just as many that were predictable

by 1999, AOL had ~20M subscribers paying $21.95

This is more than all crypto uses combined across all chains this cycle 

By analogy the next cycle should focus on delivering actual value to mainstream consumers, which probably will be Metaverse + NFT

Why do you think that 20M > all crypto users? The stats I've seen around show a much higher number. See this for example:
