I wouldn’t call OpenAI an infra company tho They just did loads of research and built awesome software, tried a bunch of things and the API and consumer stuff is what found PMF But all of FAAMG have big infra plays really

FAANG usually got into infra after nailing the consumer side - AWS offered the infra they built for Amazon

Yes, but I don’t think OpenAI is that different The best comparison is maybe Google selling ad infrastructure alongside consumer search They are worthless without each other, just like GPT consumer products and GPT models
