I need some confirmation from recruiters or anyone who is recruiter-adjacent… Is this real??? It feels like a troll. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/11/red-flags-recruiters-look-out-for-in-job-candidates.html

I've read this all over the place. It seems weird but I took it off of mine. I don't want to look desperate or whatever

This is wrong - the open to work banner is a bright green flag that I look for everyday

I've heard this, and turned it off. I'm increasingly skeptical, and will probably turn it back on soon.

I have a instinct that it depends on what stage of career you are and what you’re looking for. I think if you’re early or mid-stage career, the open-work badge wouldn’t hurt because the pool of companies hiring are usually a lot. It might hurt if you’re looking for leadership or executive roles. I don’t know

This has to be some kind of clickbait more than anything else. Confusion bait. “Learn this one weird thing LinkedIn doesn’t want you to know about!”

Not sure if true but in an age where companies can’t find enough employees you’d think they’d be less picky
