One of the funny/weird outcomes of Gen AI has been seeing which influencers can’t help but fall into the thirst trap of AI image generation. Take this highly respected and long-time UX industry leader and pioneer who’s taken to posting these weekly AI-generated video clips featuring particularly young and beautiful women (which I assume he’s promoting himself). Every week it’s a new woman in his posts. Feels distasteful if not bordering into creepy/skeezy. Maybe I’m too sensitive.

Yep, ick. But for the life of me can’t think why he didn’t just screen them for being lame. He’s too smart for this stuff so I’d be keen to hear his why. (All 5 of them.)
