Hah, yeah it's rough out in these streets! Funny you mention tubulars, since a few seasons of cyclocross is what really convinced me on the conversion. It's a clear advantage over tubes without a spare wheel or second bike in the pit. Seems like the top CX pros still favor tubulars, but they're a little too rich for my blood.
In all honesty, tubeless setups rarely 'just work,' but once you've got a good seal on the bead, you're golden. I wont say how long it's been since I flatted.. but I am due for clearing out some sealant that's well past it's prime on at least one set of wheels. Definitely a net negative for quality of life of bike mechanics at large. NO arguing, that shit is disgusting!
