I haven’t spent more than a few hours away from my puppy since we got him two months ago

Wanted to jot down some thoughts as I head out for a weeklong vacation without Moose

Appreciated this - thank you :-). We're about to change our lives - our dog's lives too - moving from LA with a dog door to a city apartment in Scotland - it's going to mean regularly scheduled walks - no matter the weather (it's going to be wet - let's just call it ;-p) - it's going to fuck with my flow.  I'm betting that - over time - it will be a net positive, and those first few months - which I suspect will suck ass - will fade from memory quickly.  At least - that's the plan.  I'll report back if it doesn't ;-p

We have two dogs - cocker spaniel and a mutt - both rescues around 6 / 7 years old - they both get nervous so we don't want to put them in the hold.  There is a monthly "dog flight" where if you buy a seat you can bring two dogs onto the flight - so my wife will be flying in comfort while I will be flying coach!

Wow big move! Are you flying with the dog? (How big/old?)

Definitely will take some time to get used to, but I’m sure you and the dog will help each other adjust :)
