It would be really helpful if iOS Photos could suggest / compare visually similar images to easily choose the best one. It also needs an interface to quickly swipe through a batch of say 100 photos every day to clean out the unwanted ones, like Tinder for your photo library. These apps must exist somewhere!

Has anyone created a shortcut to do either of those things? You can probably modify the existing photo shortcut to add if branches to do what you want. The new update includes some new features for finding duplicate photos, though I don’t remember details.

It sort of does that. If you set the picker for “Days,” it tries to select the most aesthetic and representative photos.

100% agree on this! It happens a lot when taking selfies or multiple shots and you end up with 10+ versions of the same shot and then sorting through them is a pain. Image recognition, timestamp and location could help batch photos of the same subject and have an easy workflow to choose one & delete the rest
