onchain is never down

genuine question: but what if the internet is down? like what if there is no connectivity, then you can't technically be "onchain" right?

i think about this more than i want to admit

A few years ago, the backbone to our state (Missouri) was down. No internet on any devices. It only took a day to resolve, but it was a weird day. 

I probably ought to keep more cash on hand than I do.
