Yes you DO need to be careful on this app not to be marked Spam. Then you won’t earn rewards and folks are less inclined to engage with you. Also once marked spam your casts will be hidden a lot. 
Casting in channels that you’ve been accepted to helps eliminate that.
ANYONE can report your cast as spam. Even if they just don’t like it. Warpcast is amazing but of course there are still some sour grapes on this app. . . No, I love sour grapes…ROTTEN EGGS is more like it. 😆🤷🏽‍♀️  
Be you, and avoid following folks in the “starter packs.” Commenting on people’s casts who don’t follow you, will make you spam if they don’t engage. Sorry for all the info just many cool folks are labeled spam shortly after they get on this app. :/
