Should parents get one extra vote per child? Just because the kids aren’t old enough to vote, their interests should still be accounted for right?

No I don’t think so. You assume the children are an extension of their parents. They will likely have very different views. parents are biased. Kids need to learn to develop their own viewpoints and start that adventure at 18
