Well, I couldn't resist doing a bit more digging and it’s actually even worse than I thought. 

A bunch of accounts (many bought at FIDs market) that are all clearly connected (not even trying to hide it lol) are launching clanker "dev" tokens with one-page websites full of promises in the past ~4 months. Some of these tokens get promoted by influential people, prices go up, fees collected, then... zero delivery, and everyone just forgets about them.

I'm not sure what to do with this info. Should I point out the obvious stuff - account transfers, transactions, deleted casts, shady contracts etc? It could be a good twitter thread haha

You don't need to be ZachXBT to see something's off with accounts that just started posting 10 days ago and are launching a token. But everyone buying and posting about these tokens seems kinda okay with it 🤷‍♀️

I actually drop findings about some shady Clanker tokens. Been collecting data over the last week. I thought I’d be a party pooper with this info, but it couldn’t look worse after the recent Proxy reveal, right?

I have seen many projects deploy tokens for fake projects to get attention, very interested to see if there's any link with those accounts to proxy

I’d check @flex and @clanktank. Proxy is the only one that promoted it. More than the 3 times or so that Flex did in the lat 3 months.
