Devil is in the details, but I don’t fully agree since anyone can read the Channel.

I think it will be a Reddit/FB Groups type hybrid and might stimulate deeper discussion, bring more people in.

I do agree somewhat tho that some channels with a big enough following should have an option to be fully public

Imagine for a moment.... this hypothetical situation
The owner of /politics is a raging Trump bootlicker to the extreme. (I know he isnt)
He decides to only let MAGA cheerleaders to post and become members.
Does anyone on here want that ?

I think in this situation, ideally someone would just create a new channel for politics.

I can assure you that's not going to happen with /politics

A great example, because it works for every group/channel.

It's been a huge issue at reddit, where groups of mods changed narratives and silenced unwanted voices. 

And I am not talking about voices that were promoting violence or discriminating. Just different viewpoints on investments.

That sounds like a really bad idea.  Manual curation of something like /politics is not the way to go.

It's almost like a small scale of IG even not X

As a new artist...coming here and posting in /superrare without a single follower can be a very powerful tool that helps level the playing field.

Same can be said with /memes and a host of others.

I spent 5 minutes and came up with these problems.  I can probably come up with dozens more if you want

This is why some Reddit channels are awful, simply because the moderation is entirely one sided. Of course you'll likely get make another channel response as a comeback. Echo chambers are echo chambers because they are designed that way.

If access to the channel is restricted, it would likely be based on personal biases. This could end up hurting innovation and the diversity of content.
