Devil is in the details, but I don’t fully agree since anyone can read the Channel.

I think it will be a Reddit/FB Groups type hybrid and might stimulate deeper discussion, bring more people in.

I do agree somewhat tho that some channels with a big enough following should have an option to be fully public

Imagine for a moment.... this hypothetical situation
The owner of /politics is a raging Trump bootlicker to the extreme. (I know he isnt)
He decides to only let MAGA cheerleaders to post and become members.
Does anyone on here want that ?

fair point but do you think growing /politics is what scales the network?

the channel is full of various political takes and DAUs are down anyways …

🎩 first, but I like being part of this experiment that is the Farcaster network. 

They will have the option to include an invite link at the top of the channel, effectively making them public.

I gave others....
As a new artist...coming here and posting in /superrare without a single follower can be a very powerful tool that helps level the playing field.

Same can be said with /memes and a host of others.

I spent 5 minutes and came up with these problems.  I can probably come up with dozens more if you want

Again tell me what is gained from doing this ?
