I accept the second hypothesis. In my opinion, time does not exist in the literal sense. Everything happens in an instant. So we call the changes that occur in physics: time.

I somehow agree with both. I don’t know how but maybe an additional dimension can explain it. I also like Heraclitus philosophy, very much in line with your preference, “only constant is a change”
