I am still lingering in the world of Tarkovsky and watching one documentary these 3 missions emerged and I think this applies to all arts 1. To make the epic that is to tell the tale of the tribes of the world 2. To keep it personal because only in the eccentricities of our personal lives do we have any chance of truth 3. Excellent strong opinion and well held. Yes absent fathers are often times associated with all sorts of pathologies in kids, oedipus complex, insecurities, very serious inability to create healthy bonds when adult. Definitely should not normalize absent fathers nor Kardashians charades

Good morning world from sunset photo the previous day. Yesterday was a day I watched Tarkovsky’s Mirror. I haven’t watched many films mostly because they get boring too soon, but Mirror I couldn’t keep up with symbolism, aesthetics, philosophy and abstractions, I am now reading the script, behold this mystery “There's just reality and light. There's neither death nor darkness in this world. At last we all have reached the shore, And I'm the one who casts a fishing rod When immortality is coming in a shoal. Live in a house, and it'll never fall. To any of the centuries I'd nod And enter it, a house I'd install.”

Just saw this and had to share onchain in here because it is a delicious window into history Dubrovnik Yugoslavia in 1957 Just imagine how life must have been then, living with sea, very little technology, one regime rising as another has subsided,…..beautiful and untouched nature and live villages all around

Brilliant and smooth writing that gives us a little deeper insight into Beethoven’s symphonies not only theoretically but historically when context is there learning is true
