Gm /running, need some opinions on this: I started training for a 10k race in March, but now Iโ€™m considering doing a half marathon race at the end of May. My longest run/jog is an hour, 10k, on a treadmill, a week ago. Is a half marathon race by the end of May too ambitious of a goal for my amateur self?

definitely feasible! try to get off the treadmill though, it does sooo much work for you (unless you're using one of the curved self-pacing ones) i trained over the winter on a treadmill for a race in the spring and was doing an 8min mile there but ended up clocking in at a 9:20 pace in the actual race ๐Ÿฅฒ

iโ€™m a jogger myself, and as long as youโ€™re not aiming to be too competitive on your first attempt, i donโ€™t see why not!

Very feasible! ChatGPT is really great for generating training programs for races, highly recommend. The more info you give it about where you are now and what the race looks like (e.g. is it hilly?), the better. Also - run outside!

I would say thatโ€™s plenty of time, i ran my first half with no training (donโ€™t recommend ๐Ÿ˜‚) so youโ€™re already on your way. Iโ€™m sure you could get a 12 week plan online :) Just build up your long runs a couple km a week โœจ
