Negative post incoming: So I spent some time trying to figure out how to make a mobile game using crypto and metamask browser. 1. metamask browser won't work in landscape, I wanted my game to be landscape 2. couldn't figure out how to make a link in a webpage that opens metamask app, in the browser, in a specific URL 3. no way to make a desktop-installable webapp with metamask like safari 4. IOS doesn't support fullscreen mode on iphone anyway

This isn't true (before 90s Internet kids, everybody used their real name with their university email on Usenet) but it's close to true. And that it offers a degree of safety from insane people and data scrapers. My grandparents were uncomfortable with people using the first names until they knew you well. Same here.

They were pretty topical so I didn’t think they were AI. But they could have been if they were feeding the original post into an llm or something. They were all polite but negative comments that the Simpsons is no longer good lol

The main reason I'm here is that EVM cryptocurrencies are cool as f and the other networks are never going to embrace them. So it's really cool that it's so heavily integrated here.

Anyway my Eth and Base nodes seem to be working now. I don't think I am going to host my own Optimism node, it takes too much space just for hosting a Farcaster node. Instead I'll pay for a service.

Almost nobody on the product side actually wants decentralization, if they did they would build different products than they actually build. I'm really demoralized about the political state of crypto.

I'm unhappy with every option but so far I am leaning toward ActivityPub. Farcaster has a ton of cool stuff and I support it but it's too hard to host your own infra.
