just dawned on me why non-dev minds struggle with dev mind people. The dev goes through pain-staking tedious work, abstracting dozens of calls, states, and data. The non-dev mind presses 1 button and thinks, that's all, but what about the next thing. There is no literacy or comprehension. (reminds me of the exchange between BJ & Taleb)

Lol, sure that's true. But coming from the opposite side, the dev also never understands that a lot of processes in the real world: a) don't care about the abstraction b) take time. It's so fun living in a world where you push a commit and things change, whereas a sales cycle can take literally months.

Since youre a dev, you need to know all the layers of abstraction to properly deliver a solution to market. Kinda like a farmer needs to know the same to deliver good growth of food. The end user, cares nothing, nor can wrap their head around, all the things you as a dev need to touch to deliver a solution. Kinda like the food we eat. Are they important, yes. As the current “don’t die” and “organic” conversations show. However, there are people in between this process that interact with devs, farmers, and end-consumers of products. These middle people care most about sales, or volume, and few care about abstractions or how. The only importance for them is, go d me the product, I’ll distribute to consumer. If you don’t give them the product g they go elsewhere because the market is full of people trying to make a buck, without the end-consumer understanding they are getting scammed years off their life because poor quality apps or food. A bit long but hopefully makes sense.
