what happens when you report a cast? I just reported a bunch of off-topic / spam / ai garbage in channels that I care about, and then after the fact I realized I have no idea what that actually does

2. Use the report cast and user functionality for bad behavior (don't worry there's nothing automated, everything manually reviewed)

Worth clarifying

If you follow a user, you'll see their content.

If you have a bunch of spammy cast reports in channels and replies (shared spaces), you're account will likely get labeled spammy. That said, people following you still see you're content.

Spam label is about losing discovery / reach.

Accounts get labeled spammy and effectively downranked/shadowbanned. Doesn’t seem it affects recent feeds/people you follow.
