Overstaying the welcome - a tale in two photos

Our dog Martin is very fond of his bed, he's the only one who gets to sleep in it.

But our dog sitting guest didn't know about it, so when Martin found her on his bed he was befuddled, and just squeezed in too. She didn't leave though, and to my surprise they slept like that together for two hours 😅

Then Martin couldn't handle it anymore and left the bed. The other dog didn't budge. Being non-confrontational, poor Martin just stared at the occupant in confusion, and that's when I had to step in and escort the guest to another dog bed 👮‍♀️

Thank you for standing up for Martin’s native territorial rights. Too often, we see the quiet yet insidious encroachment of white-dog settler colonialism go unchecked. We must remain vigilant and firm in defending our sacred sleeping spaces. Stay strong, Martin.
