If the world is to flee into a digital asset, Bitcoin just isn’t going to cut it. Bitcoin is difficult to transact. It’s difficult to trade without a third party taking custody. Mining is energy intensive and physical centralized. It hardly suffices for that role at this time.

Slow variable block times, crap UI/UX, crap mobile experience, crap multi-custody, just bad all around. Great for hodling, but not user friendly at all.

LN makes the case. Not a product for mass adoption. Even Ethereum L2s which have better UI/UX have a long way to go.

Have you ever tried lightning network? I have an nfc card that use lnurl to transact instantly. UI//UX is great. LN solves all the problems you mentioned.
