Not sure if soulbound tokens are a good idea, but I am certain it’s a terrible name.

SBTs will be a massive category. It is how on-chain credentials will work, but I think it’s a lot more subjective and Lindy effect than it will be some super hard coded smart contract magic. Meaning SBTs will hold meaning if the “Soul” issuing them has value.

It's foretelling the future when the Great Reset takes our souls and we will be happy!

continuing the crypto sector tradition of terrible names: ICOs, smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, etc etc... The funny part is that most of these things are powerful enough to overcome the terrible naming...perhaps it's a genius test of PMF 🤣 SBTs should be "Badges" imho

I think they are def a good idea. A SBT can encapsulate your address’s past activity and can be used to access separate communities, undercollateralized lending, airdrop whitelisting, just flexing etc

SBT are a cool idea, but they need to remain easily burnable, and yes, it’s a very kitschy name

I think it implicitly over-estimates just how many use cases actually need to be tied to some form of verifiable identity. I am pretty happy to lurk on most parts of the internet without some confirmation that I am socially recognised as who I say I am.
