I like how you're thinking about it, but another button is likely unnecessary IMO (since there's already various ways to request a channel invite) Easiest way seems to be DM'ing the owner, and with a DC Intent URL in the external link section, this becomes even easier :) https://warpcast.com/gabrielayuso.eth/0x9d421bbf

i currently can't figure out how to get into /mlb. dm'd @ohyoublockhead but i don't even know if he's a owner/mod feels like something pretty fundamental that deserves a button imo

If you click into members, it looks like @farcaster is the channel owner. Maybe someone on the Merkle team can let you in! The main reason I'm saying a button isn't needed is bc buttons afford the ability to be clicked -- which may result in people requesting invites to more channels, including ones where they wouldn't be a productive member.

we have a lot of great tools for invite moderation already. in my conception of it you'd just move the member moderation layer a bit deeper

Hear you. My take is that your proposal would lead to more moderation for channel owners → more channel owner fatigue → more churn (which is bad for the network as a whole). But ofc, smart people can disagree :)
