Tip for channel owners:

You can use a Direct Cast intent as the channel "external link" to let people  request membership via a pre-filled DC message. It works on mobile too, it'll just navigate to the DC screen ready to tap "send".

I like how you're thinking about it, but another button is likely unnecessary IMO (since there's already various ways to request a channel invite)

Easiest way seems to be DM'ing the owner, and with a DC Intent URL in the external link section, this becomes even easier :)

If you click into members, it looks like @farcaster is the channel owner.

Maybe someone on the Merkle team can let you in!

The main reason I'm saying a button isn't needed is bc buttons afford the ability to be clicked -- which may result in people requesting invites to more channels, including ones where they wouldn't be a productive member.

i currently can't figure out how to get into /mlb. dm'd @ohyoublockhead but i don't even know if he's a owner/mod

feels like something pretty fundamental that deserves a button imo
