It’s time for “suna-yu” aka a Sand Bath. 



I will be buried in sand and I will like it. In Ibusuki, you can do this on the beach in black sand, which is volcanic and really hot, but this is a close second!

That actually sounds so unique! I can imagine the weight feeling a little strange at first, but the warmth and that ‘hugged all over’ feeling must make it worth it. Did it help you feel more relaxed or energized afterward?

It’s soothing once you get over the fact that you are buried. The wet sand is very heavy so you have to be prepared mentally for the feeling and tell your brain it’s all okay. But then you feel like you are being hugged all over and you are so warm. It’s amazing!
